22 Weeks - Anatomy Scan #2 & Bump pics!

So, as noted back at 19 weeks, my anatomy scan on my boy was highly successful, except that they couldn't see his heart.  He refused to roll over and put his chest up, so not only did we not get a look at all four chambers, but we also couldn't even get a good profile pic.  They scheduled me a follow up in 4 weeks and today was the follow up ultrasound.

It went beautifully!  He was a very good baby and not only were we able to get great pictures of his feet, heart, and profile, but we also got a beautiful video!  Introducing Nathaniel James Webster!!!

Big feet!

Lil hands near his face!

Another profile!

I love this picture!!!!

I can't wait to snuggle him!

Running in my uterus!

Still a boy!

I'm definitely starting to feel him a little more, though it's still just mild tapping.  Sometimes, it feels like he's kicking me in the cervix cause I get stabs of pain.  My hubby still has not felt him move =(

Good news though!  Placenta has moved way up, so no concerns with placenta previa!!

Presents from Dad and my Step-Mum!

You may remember that, back in August, I spent some time down in WV with my Dad and Step-Mum.  I went on my first baby shopping extravaganza with Cyndie, and learned about a lot of amazing places with awesome deals on baby clothing.  While down there, Cyndie also got me a bunch of gluten free food.

Today, I got a package and was surprised to find a lot more than just gluten free food!

I can't wait to get newborn pictures of him in these!

Close up on the USMC outfit!

Baby is going to be Grampy's little Marine =)

The label says "Everybody loves me".

The label on the chest says "Just like Daddy"!

I love dinosaurs <3!

Some fun from Grampy and Gigi for Em!  I can't wait to make bracelets with her tomorrow!

I love you guys <3!

The Tale End of 21 Weeks!

I recently realized that my third trimester is only a month away.  That scares the crap out of me just as much as it makes my heart soar.  So close...

I've actually been a lot more tired this week.  I think my schedule is really catching up with me.  I work Monday-Thursday with a two hour commute.  So I leave at 9:45am and don't get home till 11:15pm.  I also work 10 hour days with an 11 hour lunch.  Often times, when I get home, I have a hard time immediately going to sleep.  So at most, I only ever get like 7 hours of sleep.

So the exhaustion makes sense.  Fingers crossed - I should hear about my schedule change sometime next week.

I scheduled my gestational diabetes test this AM for November 9th.  I'm not really excited about this test.  I hope I don't have the dreaded GD.  Last thing I need right now is another dietary restriction.

Next Friday, October 26th, I will have the ultrasound that checks on baby's heart.  I'm pretty excited to see the baby again.  I'm not really worried at all about the ultrasound because they just want to look at the front of the heart to see the four chambers.  Everything looked good during the anatomy scan, they just couldn't see the front because my little guy wouldn't put his chest up.  He was all snuggly with my placenta =)  So hopefully next week I should have a new profile picture of the baby!  Maybe even a little video if he cooperates.

Afterwards, I'm going to have some prenatal stretching, massage, and manipulation done to see if it'll help my back.

Got another two outfits on sale!!  Both were under six bucks!

Six bucks

Five bucks!
And of course, the bump pictures taken a few days ago:

My baby sorta feels like a giant boulder in my belly.  I can't believe he's under a pound!

Pregnancy Survey: 21 weeks!

How far along? 21 weeks 2 days

Total weight gain/loss: Gained between 10 and 15lbs give or take.

Maternity clothes? Started wearing them. Have one pair of pants, two dresses, and several cute shirts. I like the maternity clothing because it really pronounces my bump. Also at this point, they are a lot more comfy. I have my size 10 jeans (pre-pregnancy size 6) that are comfortable now and not falling off as much!

Stretch marks? None on belly – just the ones on my thighs from previous weight gain.

Sleep: Starting to not get as much. Getting up a lot to go pee or because I’m uncomfortable. Hip and back pain.

Best moment this week: Feeling the baby tapping inside me!

Movement: Anterior placenta so mostly just feel a tapping feeling though it has been getting way more frequent!

Food cravings: Comfort foods. Pretty much anything that I can’t have.

Gender: A little baby boy =)

Labor Signs: better not be getting any of those any time soon…

Belly Button in or out? Still super in…

Wedding rings on or off? On and still pretty loose. Constantly fixing them. I really want to get them sautered…

What I miss: My size six jeans.

What I am looking forward to: Curling up with my baby boy! A sooner experience: feeling him really move so Nate and Em can possible feel him kicking around in there.

Weekly Wisdom: Do not try to sleep through having to go pee. It is way more painful than the 2 minutes it takes to just go to the bathroom…

Milestones: Looking into signing up for birth classes!

20 weeks!

This past weekend, Nate and I flew down to Philadelphia for my best friend Holly's wedding.  I flew down Thursday morning, while Nate flew down late Friday night.

And I had a blast!

Philadelphia is a very scary place, but it has so much culture!  And the food!  Omg...

Let's see... My menu was something like this:

Ihop - Eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns
Yummy Pad Thai and soup
Night Market - Braised short ribs over creamy polenta, Sweet corn on the cob, frozen yogurt
Sweet Freedom - GF chocolate chip cookie frosting sandwich!

Rice Chex
Bibimbap - Korean food with beef, sauce, sprouts, spinach, whole grain rice, bokchoi in a yummy stone bowl that cooks it till it caramelizes.
Chicken with mixed chinese vegetables and eggdrop soup
Greek Frozen Yogurt

Eggs and Bacon
Phili-yo (More frozen yogurt but it had chocolate and cheesecake frozen yogurt, cantaloupe, kiwi, gummi bears, jimmies, blue berries, peanut butter cup)
A variety of yummy asian food at like a buffet rehearsal dinner
And surprise surprise - more ice cream!

Sunday (WEDDING DAY!!!!):
Eggs, sausage, frosted flakes
Soup, Cesar salad, and prime rib
Wedding frosting =) and a Sweet Freedom cupcake
Tiramisu from room service =)

I'm pretty sure I put on a few pounds while there =)  Which is good!  I loved sharing Holly and Phil's wedding day with them.  It was beautiful.  I danced, jumped in a pool in an expensive dress, and ate!

Look at that little boy popping out my belly like that!
